YIP-YIP (Florida analog synth/wave weirdos) "Yip-Yip was formed in 2001, when two friends, Brian Esser and Jason
Temple, started making music by experimenting with toy keyboards and
circuit bent instruments. In the early years the band was mainl...y
a recording project, until they started playing live shows in 2003.
Around that time the two began shaping their unique sound by collecting
and using any vintage synthesizers, drum machines, and effects they
could find. This genre-defying music has led the band to tour and play
shows with a variety of bands, including The Locust, Melt Banana,
Lightning Bolt, Dan Deacon, ADULT., and many more. The band has released
six albums since 2001, and their seventh album, BONE UP, was released
in late 2011."
